Beta team Alpha 207 is assigned to find Captain Rocky Rhino on Planet Delphi 254. He led a team to the planet to establish a base. His team of seven betas are also missing, presumed dead. Rhino would be assumed dead, also, except he transmatted his shuttle back to base. The team's assignment is to find the captain, establish a base, and protect the corporation's possessions.

The Beta team has been summoned to Captain Williford's office to get their assignment. When they arrive, the human secretary tells them to have a seat as the captain is in a conference. They can hear heated words being spoken ,and the one who is  not Captain  Williford, whom you all know, says , "A bat and a raccoon? Don't you know how important (           )  mission is ? The Bear and the Cheetah are fine (             ) so I hope they are successful for (          ) sakes . " Captain Williford says , "It would be (         ) for you to go out the back door of my office. Have a good day and don't worry, Sir." The team hears a door open and close . In a few moments, Captain Williford comes to his office door. As the Beta team stands at attention, Williford says, "Come into my office and stand easy." Once everyone is in place, Williford begins his spiel, "Your team will be TransMatted to planet Delphia 254. Your task is threefold: find Field Scientist Captain Rocky Rhino, (2)establish a base, and (3)protect the corporation's possessions. Hopefully in your search for Rhino, you'll find his team of seven betas who have gone missing along with Rhino. You will leave at dawn tomorrow. "

That evening, the team gathers at The Molecule Drinking Hole for a few drinks. As they are talking among themselves, old Charlie Badger comes in and tells the bar tender, "I'm buying the drinks for this next team of brave Betas. Yes, sir, in fact I'm buying drinks all night for these boys. These boys are going to save Rocko." Charlie seems a little drunk already. "How much do you think you're worth? I know- a pile of fine crystals, yesiree."

GM> Any questions for Charlie ?

"Slow down, mateys, and take a drink. You'll need many before the evenings done. Captain Rocky's an ok officer especially for a field scientist. You know how bossy those blokes can be on a mission just because they are in charge until the fur flies and the grunts take over. But old Rocky can handle himself even in the field. As far as finding out about you mates shipping out,"Charlie leans in on the table and lowers his voice,"secrets fly around around here like an Augumented Human breaking wind. Besides I know I know the real reason for your mission." He stops , looks up at the Fox Beta waitress and says with surprising charm,"Adorable lassie, our tankards are running low. Could I trouble your beautiful form to bring my boys refills." She smiles at Charlie and says, "I'll be glad to for you ,
Charlie,"and proceeds to go to get more beverages for the group.

Rary leans closer to Charlie, "Tell us what you know Charlie, so that we can go in knowing all the cards."

Rary nods "So, they are not sure what killed the Betas, or, its a test, to see if any Betas can survive wherever we are going." takes a drink from her mug.
"Thanks Charlie, at least now, we know what the score is."

"Always a pleasure, mates,"says Charlie,"to help fellow Betas with a heads up. But I gotta split and stay out of sight until you boys ship out. Don't want the humans and their Augmented uglies to know I 've discussed anything with you since I wasn't supposed to be there to start . Cheerio , mates ,and soft dirt to dig in ." Charlie gets up and disappears out the back door of the tavern.

Rary hisses, "Dont be so down, try to be positive, we'll be heros when we come back.  Dont be so heavy into the negative vibes, not good for you, or us." she says, whiskers twitching.
