Many hundreds of years ago, the forces of good allied to destroy the main Temple of Orcus in the ancient city of Kaer Maga. With their temple in ruins, the surviving high priests of this accursed demon-god fled the city with an army of enemies on their trail - an army of heroic fighters, clerics and paladins – led by Zelkor, a powerful wizard. The exact fate of these evil priests was then unknown, for not only did the remnants of the followers of Orcus disappear from all human reckoning, but so did the army of light that followed after them disappear as well. Some said that in the eternal scales the loss of so many good men was a fair price to pay to rid the world of so much evil.
The evil cult, however, had not been destroyed. The surviving priests and their followers instead settled on a hill near the Ashwood, a sylvan woodland near the Skull River. There they found a vast underground complex of caverns and mazes, carving out a volcanic intrusion beneath the hill. There, the priests of Orcus found the perfect lair to continue their vile rituals. For many years, they carried on in secret, hidden from the light and from the knowledge of men. Many years later, their underground delving completed, the evil priests erected a hideous mausoleum and a sunken graveyard atop the hill. It is believed that these graves are in fact the final resting place of the pursuing army of heroes that had been destroyed to a man. Soon after the mausoleum was erected the peaceful creatures of the wood began to disappear. Though many rangers and druids investigated these happenings, the cause of the creatures’ disappearance was not immediately determined. Some years later, a powerful group of adventurers, led by Bofred, a high priest of Iomedae, investigated the evil happenings and found the sunken graveyard leading to a labyrinthine complex. Bofred and his companions found great hordes of evil creatures in the complex. Though some of his companions returned from their expedition, telling tales of fantastic treasure and ferocious monsters, Bofred was never seen again—lost in the catacombs beneath the cursed mausoleum.
For the last one hundred years, ranks of adventurers swarmed to the new found dungeon. Many fell prey to bandits and monsters in the surrounding wilderness. Of those who survived to reach the mausoleum and the sunken graveyard, rumors suggest that most were slain by guardians of green stone before they even entered the dungeon or perished on the very first level. Those rare few who return from deeper treks speak of horrible undead and creatures that cannot be slain. All who have explored Rappan Athuk offer this one universal piece of advice: “Don’t go down the Well.”

Being previously successful in your adventuring careers you have been drawn to Korvosa by rumors of this potentially very profitable ruin.

Please make a short introductory post with whatever your going to do upon once having arrived in the city.

Upon arriving into the city after hearing of the ruins, she goes to go look for an inn to rest before heading off to Rappan Athuk.  You see a female clad in armor carrying a longsword, a shield and she comes off a like knight, but appears more divine, which is a paladin.  She comes to this city in search of this flithy ruin to have it cleaned out and hope to have it destoryed using her deity's help.

Doxie comes walking into the city, looking for a place to buy more tabacco.  You see a Human Female, blonde hair, blue eyes, smoking a cigarette that seems to hang from the corner of her mouth.  Wearing black leather pants, worn black shoes, a gray tunic, all torn in revealing places, partly covered by more worn black leather armor.

OOC: What is a cigarette?

:-)

Ronan Nightranger appears at the inn, wearing black clothes and boots, a blue vest over what looks like may be a mithril shirt, and a navy blue bandana covered in stars atop his head.  He's carrying two longbows on his back, a warhammer with a flaming head, and he has a longsword at his side; all of them of top quality, if you notice that sort of thing.  He also has a large but light shield slung on his back.  He's not pretty, especially for a Half-Elf, and he seems a bit uncomfortable as he asks for a room in the place.

He's thirsty and he looks a bit dusty.  So he orders a mug of mead and a goblet of elven wine (if they have it) and heads to a corner table.

Voghan Axhamr

A dwarf enters the city and heads to the tavern suggested by the city guard at the gate.  He enters, his mithral shirt prominent, a large axe slung over his back in a special sheath, a warhammer in his belt and a heavy crossbow hanging from a hook on his belt.  His clothing is of earthy brown tones and a silver medallion rests on his chest.
Moving to the bar, "How much fer a meal and a room fer the night?"

You are all pointed towards an inn in Midland called The Creaky Hammock. it is known as a good place for visitors to the city, and the area is relatively crime free. The bartender, a female half orc, comes to each of you as you enter and sit a table and hands you a menu.

Accommodations: A small private room with one bed, some amenities and a covered chamber pot for 5 sp/day

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: Beef steak, Soft cheese, Goose eggs, Strawberries, Mush (cost 6sp).

Lunch: Pork chop, Soft cheese, Green beans, Apple (cost 8sp).

Supper: Broiled catfish, Carrots, Succotash, Mush, Fruitcake (cost 1gp).

Snack: Chicken eggs, Assassin vine berries, Nut bread (cost 4sp).

OOC: Mush!  Yum!

INC: Ronan arrived late in the evening, so he'll order the Snack after he's finished his mead.

He looks around the room and activates Detect Magic (spell-like ability!), to see if there is any other magic there.

Seelah sits in the table away from the door and orders a nutbread and wine for now.  She is keeping to herself at the moment.

Rahl arrives at the inn during the midst of dinner time. He is wearing freshly cleaned splint mail and has a Greataxe strapped to his back that is so clean it sparkle's. You would get the impression that it's never been used by the look of it. The most peculiar thing about Rahl is the fact that a freshly polished Tower Shield just happens to be floating along behind him. Rahl will find an empty booth and sit down, his Tower Shield will rest on the bench opposite him in the booth. "Ahhhh, now this is more like it." say's Rahl. You get the destinct impression that he's holding a conversation with the floating shield.

Doxie comes walking into the Common room later in the afternoon, looks around, eyes widening when she spots Seelah, shakes her head in disbelief.
Doxie then looks for a spot that gives her a good view of Seelah,  from at least one table away, then she will wave at the Paladin, and blow smoke in her direction when Seelah notices her, and smile at the Paladin.
When the serving girl comes around, Doxie will order lunch, leaving the green beans untouched.

Peauxpauve, the wild-looking hobbit man, dines heavily on nutbread and chicken eggs not bothering to clean the crumbs from his leather suit, face or hair. When he's satisfied, he twists his greasy, yolk-stained fingers through his ratty black hair and regards the shaping situation within the pub.

His eyes become sleek little slits of satisfaction as the euphoric wave of a blood sugar high drifts over him.

"Ah, now I'm ready for action!" he groans as he loosens his belt and looses a loud, dry fart.

Seelah looks horrified by that loud, dry fart and then notices Doxie waving at her with a smile.  She looks familiar to her...oh no.  Not that woman who likes to smoke a lot!  Sighing, she waves back with a fake smile.  She tries to go back to her meal but having a hard time ignoring the smell of that loud, dry fart.
