Took me a bit, but I finally got the RSS feed for the blogs piped through to the front page. Now, for anyone interedted in blogging. If you want your blog posts to show on the front page when your writing your post look over to the left. At the top left part of the page you'll see a section titled Publish. In that is a dropdown called access. In order for your posts to show in the module on the front page this must be set to public. Happy bloging!
